I started designing denim for operational use while I was still on active duty. I needed something that allowed me to carry the gear I needed for use in non-permissive environments, while maintaining a reduced signature. I even started a denim company when I was leaving the Navy. They had a small initial production release, but due to the cost of production in the USA, and other circumstances I had to shut it down and shelve the dream of creating my vision. It's been a long time coming and I couldn't be more full of joy to finally get back to where I started, this time with some revisions to those original designs. Making things the hard way in the USA and supporting American manufacturing is the culmination of all that hard work and perseverance. It's been a long road to get here, but we've finally arrived!
Jeans are the most American piece of clothing a man can own. Walk into any garage, job site, range, or living room across this country and you’ll find a pair of blue jeans hanging in the closet or draped over a chair. They’re the default uniform of the American male, durable, unpretentious, and ready for whatever the day (or the mission) throws at you. That same spirit is why Navy SEALs have reached for denim when the mission demanded it.
In the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War, SEALs ditched the standard-issue BDU pants for Levi’s 501s and 505s. The reasons were pure operator pragmatism. The denser weave of American denim stood up better to the constant abrasion of brush and mangrove roots. It drained faster after river crossings, didn’t hold as much mud, and made less noise when wet legs rubbed together on night inserts. The jeans gave better protection against leeches and mosquitoes than the lighter camo trousers. Guys sewed extra pockets from ERDL blouses onto them. Coral or jungle boots, a Rolex (or Tudor) submariner, green face paint, and a pair of broken-in Levi’s, you could spot a Team guy a mile away. It wasn’t just about looking cool (although they definitely did). It was about gear that worked when the issued stuff didn’t.
That same idea never left the community. In Iraq, Afghanistan, and across parts of the African continent, SEALs continued to use jeans when the mission called for low-vis or civilian appearance. Full kit and multicam scream “American operator.” A solid pair of jeans, a nondescript shirt, and the right training let you move through environments where blending in kept you alive and kept the mission moving. Denim has always been part of the quiet professional’s toolkit when the situation demanded something other than camouflage.
Today that legacy lives in a pair of jeans built the right way, here in the United States. These are cut from Cone Mills 12.75 oz denim: 99% cotton, 1% elastane, combined with premium brass YKK zippers, custom blacked out brass button closure, and exclusive IRREGULAR DISRUPTIVE HINTERLAND waistband lining and pocket bags. Hinting at the heritage of those early SEAL operators. Cone Mills has been making American denim since the late 1800s; they supplied the fabric for the classic Levi’s that SEALs wore in Vietnam and pioneered stretch denim decades ago. The 12.75 oz weight gives you the toughness and structure you expect from real denim, while the small amount of elastane delivers the mobility you need when you’re moving, kneeling, or carrying gear. No floppy stretch fabric. No cheap import construction. Just honest American cloth that gets better the more you wear it. Classic straight fit, not baggy and not skinny, with a leg opening allowing for wear with boots.

Offered in 2 styles, the SF1- a plain front design with a total of 8 pockets, and a beefed up variant, the SF2. The SF2 adds front panels from mid thigh to the shin, and 2 additional discreet zippered welt pockets on the front of the thighs. Both come in a rinsed dark indigo, not fully raw, these will still allow you to break them in, with every crease and wrinkle becoming a part of your own story.
