The ruler of this world is Satan himself, he has been given authority by our own iniquity. How are we to overcome this world and it’s rulers? The answer lies in Christ: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

The devil and his multitude of evil spirits, “the principalities . . . the powers . . . the world rulers of this present darkness . . . the spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places” (Eph 6.12) war against man seeking to destroy him by ensnaring him in sin.

Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. John 12:31

I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. John 14:30

Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
